The "SL Monogram Series," hailed as Maybach's most sporty model to date, has arrived in Japan. This marks the first open-top two-seater model for Maybach.
Two curated design concepts are available at the launch of the "SL Monogram Series." The "Red Ambience" impresses with a novel two-tone paint scheme of black and garnet, while the "White Ambience" offers a refined elegance with striking contrasts.
Based on the Mercedes-AMG "SL63," it is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine delivering a maximum output of 430 kW (585 hp). Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. While offering performance comparable to AMG models, Maybach's signature quiet and comfortable ride is achieved through suspension settings and soft engine mounts that prioritize comfort.
The most striking feature of the "SL Monogram Series" is undoubtedly the Maybach pattern on the bonnet. Its intricate manufacturing process, demanding exceptional precision, includes hand-finished elements like polishing, showcasing Maybach's masterful craftsmanship.
The exterior incorporates a powerful design with Maybach's exclusive radiator grille and wide air intakes featuring side-mounted front spoilers. It is expected to be fitted with multi-spoke 21-inch forged wheels.
The roof features an acoustically insulated soft top with extensive soundproofing, also incorporating the Maybach pattern.
The interior, with its crystal white Nappa leather, creates an exceptional sense of luxury, completing the cohesive and elegant design of the "SL Monogram Series."
The launch of the "SL Monogram Series" will begin in Europe in Spring 2025, with subsequent rollouts planned for other regions, including Japan.
