Price: ¥2.75 million - ¥3.92 million

The Prius debuted in 1997 as the world's first mass-produced hybrid car, with the tagline "We made it in time for the 21st century." Since then, it has led the global普及 of HEVs as a new generation of eco-car with overwhelming fuel efficiency. Cumulative global sales have reached approximately 5.05 million units, with over 82 million tons of CO2 emissions reduced (as of March 2022).
The new Prius debuts under the concept of "Hybrid Reborn." Amidst the pursuit of carbon neutrality by various manufacturers, including BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles), the development team aimed to create an emotional car that combines "love at first sight design" and "captivating performance" in addition to the traditional strengths of high environmental performance, ensuring the Prius remains an attractive car for users in the future.
Externally, while inheriting the Prius's iconic "monofoil silhouette," it has been reborn with a lower center of gravity and a more elongated proportion. Toyota describes the simple yet dynamic body as expressing "emotion that resonates with the senses" and "universal beauty."
The adoption of the second-generation TNGA platform, which has undergone improvements to realize the emotional design and driving of the new Prius, based on the mature TNGA platform, contributes to the lower center of gravity and the use of large-diameter tires.
Meanwhile, the interior, with its "island architecture" concept, achieves both a spacious feel without a sense of oppression and a cockpit that allows the driver to concentrate on driving. This creates an interior space where users can intuitively operate controls and enjoy driving.
The powertrain features the latest "5th Generation Hybrid System" for both the 2-liter and 1.8-liter models. The 2-liter models (Z and G grades) achieve a system maximum output of 144kW (196ps), a 1.6-fold increase compared to the previous model. This combines superior fuel economy with "captivating performance" that delivers exhilarating acceleration and responsive handling that matches the driver's intentions.
The 1.8-liter models (U and X grades), while incorporating improvements, have achieved a fuel economy of 32.6 km/L by renewing all electric modules.
The latest "Toyota Safety Sense" preventive safety package is standard equipment for advanced safety and driver assistance systems.
Prices are as follows: X grade (1.8-liter) FF is ¥2.75 million, E-Four (4WD) is ¥2.97 million; G grade (2-liter) FF is ¥3.20 million, E-Four (4WD) is ¥3.42 million; Z grade (2-liter) FF is ¥3.70 million, E-Four (4WD) is ¥3.92 million.
