Features Include Augmented Reality Head-Up Display
Audi is advancing its electrification efforts, starting with pure EVs. Following the "e-tron" and "e-tron GT," the "Q4 e-tron," a compact SUV suitable for daily use, has now been introduced.
The lineup includes two models: the "Q4 e-tron" and the "Q4 Sportback e-tron." Both models feature spacious interiors, along with advanced solutions for controls, displays, and assistance systems. Audi highlights the augmented reality head-up display as a completely new way to connect the virtual and real worlds.
The battery options include a 52 kWh unit for the "Q4 35 e-tron" and a larger 77 kWh capacity for the "Q4 40 e-tron" and "Q4 50 e-tron quattro." The top-tier "Q4 50 e-tron quattro" features an all-wheel-drive system and produces a maximum output of 220 kW (290 ps).
The driving range for the rear-wheel-drive "Q4 40 e-tron" is up to 520 km on the WLTP cycle. Furthermore, under ideal conditions, it is possible to achieve approximately 130 km (WLTP) of range with just about 10 minutes of charging.
The "Q4 e-tron" is set to launch in Europe in June 2021. Further details regarding pricing and availability in Japan are anticipated.
