Mercedes-Benz AMG G 63 Stronger Than Time Edition
Chic Silver Accents Define the AMG G 63 Special Edition
Mercedes-Benz Japan has introduced a special edition of the G-Class, the "Mercedes-AMG G 63 Stronger Than Time Edition." Sales have commenced for a limited run of 250 units.
Limited Edition: 150 White and 100 Black Models with 22-Inch Wheels
The G-Class was born in 1979 as a cross-country vehicle. While its fundamental styling has remained, it has evolved through updates to its powertrain and equipment, finally receiving its first full model change in 2018.
The base for this special edition is the top-tier model, the "AMG G 63." It is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo direct-injection engine, fully developed in-house by Mercedes-AMG, producing a maximum output of 430 kW (585 hp) and 850 Nm of torque.
Exclusive to the Mercedes-AMG G 63 are features such as an AMG reinforced braking system and the "AMG Ride Control sports suspension."
A key characteristic of this special edition is the application of Shadow Silver accents to the exterior, including the side mirrors, side strips, and brake calipers, creating a chic aesthetic.
Furthermore, it comes with exclusive equipment such as a spare wheel cover in the same color as the body and two-tone 22-inch cross-spoke alloy wheels combining matte black and high-sheen finishes.
The interior features exclusive Titanium Grey Black Nappa leather, enhancing the sense of exclusivity. A Nappa leather grab handle with a logo has also been incorporated. The front seats are equipped with a seat ventilator, relaxation function, and Seat Heater Plus. The extensive use of carbon fiber trim contributes to a sporty ambiance.
The body colors and sales quantities are limited to 150 units in Diamond White and 100 units in Magno Night Black. Both are available only with left-hand steering. The price is 24.5 million yen.
