The "Ariya," announced by Nissan to the world in July 2020, is a stylish and innovative crossover EV that combines the company's accumulated EV expertise with the latest connected technology. The Ariya to be released in Japan will come in four grades: the 66kWh battery (B6) in 2WD and e-4ORCE (4WD) configurations, and the 91kWh battery (B9) in 2WD and e-4ORCE (4WD) configurations. Each will be a "Limited" model available for pre-order only.
The Nissan Ariya Limited comes standard with cutting-edge driver assistance technologies such as "ProPILOT 2.0" and "ProPILOT Remote Park." The body is available in five colors, including two limited two-tone options exclusive to the Limited model (Burgundy/Midnight Black and Shell Blonde/Midnight Black).
The interior features a "Panoramic Glass Roof (with electric tilt & slide, electric folding shade, and remote function)" that enhances the sense of spaciousness for a comfortable drive, and soft, premium Nappa leather seats (blue-gray) as standard equipment. Additionally, the "BOSE Premium Sound System & 10 Speakers," a sound system exclusively for the Nissan Ariya, is also standard.
Other Limited-exclusive features include 19-inch aero-designed wheel covers in a special color and stylish illuminated scuff plates (with ARIYA logo) for the front and rear doors. Furthermore, floor carpets in a special color, inspired by the dry landscape garden (Karesansui), have been prepared to complement the interior that fuses Japanese traditional beauty with advanced technology.
The release timing for the B6 2WD Limited is this winter, with other models to follow. Pre-orders are also scheduled to begin in other global markets in the future.
The prices are 6.6 million yen for the 2WD B6 Limited, 7.408 million yen for the B9 Limited, 7.206 million yen for the 4WD B6 e-4ORCE Limited, and 7.902 million yen for the B9 e-4ORCE Limited. The effective purchase price for the standard "Nissan Ariya" models, which will go on sale after the Limited editions, is expected to be around 5 million yen after deducting subsidies from government ministries and local authorities.
To coincide with the start of pre-orders for the "Nissan Ariya," Nissan has launched a dedicated global website for the Ariya, its first of its kind, to respond to the accelerating global digital shift.
In Japan, by joining the dedicated member site "Club Ariya," customers can engage in various touchpoints, from purchase consideration and pre-orders to consultations, all digitally. Users can also freely combine digital interactions with in-person test drives and consultations at dealerships, according to their needs. Furthermore, "Club Ariya" members can participate in exclusive online events and in-person test drive experiences.
