Equipped with a 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a range of up to 520 km

Measuring 4,685 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height, the EQB offers easy maneuverability on Japanese roads. Despite its compact dimensions, it boasts a long wheelbase of 2,830 mm, allowing for a BEV that can seat up to seven passengers: the Mercedes-Benz EQB.
Two powertrain options are available. The EQB 250 features a newly designed permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle, driving the front wheels. The EQB 350 4MATIC is an all-wheel-drive model with a permanent magnet synchronous motor on both the front and rear axles.
In this system, permanent magnets are attached to the rotor of the AC motor within the permanent magnet synchronous motor. These magnets follow the rotating magnetic field of the AC current in the stator windings, causing the rotor to spin. This method is said to achieve high power density, efficiency, and output stability.
The EQB 250 produces a maximum output of 140 kW (190 hp) and a maximum torque of 385 Nm. The EQB 350 4MATIC generates 215 kW (292 hp) and 520 Nm.
Both models are equipped with a 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery housed in the floor between the front and rear axles. To extend range by optimizing airflow, improvements have been made to the underbody panels and roof spoiler, resulting in a drag coefficient (Cd) as low as 0.28. The WLTC range is 520 km for the EQB 250 and 468 km for the EQB 350 4MATIC. Charging is compatible with AC charging up to 6.0 kW and DC fast charging up to 100 kW (CHAdeMO standard).
The exterior design emphasizes a functional package that maximizes interior space with short overhangs and wheels positioned at the car's corners, while presenting a stylish urban SUV aesthetic. Mercedes EQ's unique design language for its electric vehicles is also incorporated, notably in the LED rear combination lamps.
The interior offers a spacious cabin, leveraging the high seating position and long wheelbase. The second-row seats feature a 60:40 split with a fore-aft sliding function adjustable by 140 mm, allowing for increased legroom when slid back or enhanced cargo capacity when moved forward.
Additionally, for safety reasons, the third row is suitable for individuals up to 165 cm tall. When not in use, the third-row seats can be folded down to expand the luggage space.
The vehicle comes standard with "Intelligent Drive," which contributes to safe driving through the use of a stereo multi-purpose camera and radar sensors.
Pricing starts at 7.88 million yen for the EQB 250 and 8.70 million yen for the EQB 350 4MATIC.
