Parts for Protective Masks to Shield Healthcare Workers, Utilizing Snorkel Masks
The division responsible for manufacturing these ventilator valves and mask parts is usually tasked with creating vehicle prototypes. It is leveraging its molding technology to produce thermoplastic components.
The ventilator valves were developed by diving equipment manufacturer Mares and have been customized to fit the masks, creating emergency respirators for patients suffering from respiratory illnesses.
Meanwhile, accessory parts for protective masks are attached to snorkel masks converted into protective gear, designed to shield healthcare workers from infection risks.
Ferrari plans to produce hundreds of these devices in the coming days, with the collaboration of various companies. Coordinated by the Italian Civil Protection Department, they will be distributed to hospitals and healthcare professionals across Italy, including in Bergamo, Genoa, and Modena.
