Upgraded Power Unit Delivers 700ps and 720Nm

The Artura Spider made its Japanese debut at McLaren Yokohama, a new dealership in Minatomirai, Yokohama.
The Artura Spider represents a significant upgrade from the original Artura, with claims of enhanced driver engagement.
The powertrain combines a mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 engine with an electric motor, producing a total system output of 700ps and 720Nm of torque. Thanks to its rigid carbon monocoque chassis, the convertible model weighs in at a mere 1,457kg.
Its top speed is 330 km/h, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.0 seconds. Incidentally, with the launch of the Artura Spider, the 2025 model of the Artura coupe also adopts the same powertrain as the convertible.
The redesigned powertrain mounts enhance agility and precision. The Proactive Damping Control suspension system's response time has reportedly increased by up to 90%, significantly improving reactions to driver inputs and road conditions.
Furthermore, braking and stability at high speeds have been improved. New brake cooling ducts enhance thermal management.
The roof is a retractable hardtop, capable of opening or closing in 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. An electrochromic roof panel is also available as an option.
The cabin retains the driver-focused design of the coupe. The steering wheel features no operational buttons, with paddle shifters moving in sync with the wheel.
Safety features now include standard Blind Spot Monitoring (with road sign recognition) and Cross-Traffic Detection (lane departure warning).
Orders are now being accepted for the newly unveiled Artura Spider and the 2025 Artura. The Spider is priced at 36.5 million yen, and the coupe at 33 million yen, with deliveries scheduled to begin in early 2025.
