Newly Established Following First Wave Reaching Planned Numbers in Four Days

The Defender undergoes its first full model change in 71 years. The "Launch Edition," a pre-order model announced in early November, reached its planned quota of 150 units in just four days, prompting the announcement of the new "Startup Edition" limited model.
The lineup includes the 3-door "90" with coil suspension and the 5-door "110" with air suspension. The "110" is available in a 2-row seat configuration and a 3-row specification with leather seats.
Both models are powered by a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum output of 300ps and a maximum torque of 400Nm.
The body utilizes Land Rover's newly developed "Dx7" architecture for extreme environments. This lightweight aluminum monocoque structure is touted as the most robust body structure in Land Rover's history, achieving approximately three times the torsional rigidity compared to traditional ladder frame construction.
Safety features include driver assistance systems such as emergency braking and lane keep assist, marking a significant evolution in its first full model change in 71 years.
The "Startup Edition" is a limited-time pre-order model available until Tuesday, March 31, 2020. It comes in seven body colors, including Fuji White and Santorini Black. Pricing for the 3-door "90" ranges from ¥4,912,000 to ¥6,809,000. The 2-row seat "110" ranges from ¥5,967,000 to ¥6,191,000, while the 3-row leather seat specification ranges from ¥7,451,000 to ¥8,101,000. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in autumn 2020.
