Digital Outer Mirrors Updated—Lexus ES Partially Refined
Lexus has partially refined its mid-size sedan, the ES, and commenced sales.

Battery Changed to Lithium-Ion, Improving Fuel Efficiency
The ES was introduced to Japan at the end of 2018. It's still fresh in our memory that it was the first mass-produced car to feature digital outer mirrors upon its release.
With this partial refinement, the digital outer mirrors have been added as an option to the "F Sport" model, along with a distance guideline display function that makes it easier to gauge the distance to other vehicles, walls, and obstacles visible on the monitor while driving. Lines indicating a distance from the rear of the vehicle, ranging from a minimum of 5 meters to a maximum of 30 meters, are displayed according to vehicle speed.

Other safety features, such as parking support brake for stationary objects and approaching rear vehicles, and blind spot monitor, are now standard on all models.
Furthermore, the hybrid battery has been changed from a nickel-metal hydride battery to a lithium-ion battery. Fuel efficiency has improved by 1.7 km/L compared to the previous model, achieving 22.3 km/L in WLTC mode.
Inside the cabin, the multimedia system now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. By linking a smartphone with the 12.3-inch wide display, screen operation via Remote Touch and voice commands are now possible. Additionally, the "wireless charger" tray and the center console smartphone storage space have been enlarged. Convenience has also been improved, with support for larger smartphone sizes.

The powertrain is a 2.5-liter inline-4 hybrid, available only in FF.
Pricing starts at ¥5,990,000 for the entry-grade ES300h, ¥6,489,000 for the F Sport, and ¥7,130,000 for the Version L.
