The Volkswagen Virtual Motor Show runs for two weeks. A 360° tour allows website visitors to explore the exhibition space, view cars from various angles, and even change body colors and wheels using intuitive controls, offering an experience akin to visiting in person.
Featured models include the "ID.3," a futuristic electric vehicle, and the new "Touareg R," "Golf GTI," "Golf GTD," and "Golf GTE" with plug-in hybrid technology, all slated for release in 2020.
Jürgen Stackmann, Member of the Board of Management responsible for Sales, Marketing, and After-Sales for the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, commented, "Although the Geneva Motor Show has been cancelled, our marketing team's dedication has made it possible for everyone to visit the Volkswagen booth. This virtual motor show demonstrates that special circumstances call for special solutions."
Jochen Sengpiehl, Chief Marketing Officer, added, "Our first digital booth is merely the beginning of a sustainable concept for creating innovative online experiences. Virtual reality will be an integral part of experiential marketing, the presentation of the Volkswagen brand to the outside world, and our interaction with customers and fans going forward."
