Concept Model Indicating Future Production Direction for Honda Brand EVs

The Honda SUV e:Concept is a concept model that indicates the future production direction for Honda brand EVs in China. It is being developed with the aim of becoming a production vehicle that offers fresh and FUN mobility value at all times, through the next-generation "All-Round ADAS" driver-assistance system with improved recognition, prediction, and judgment capabilities as part of the next-generation "Honda SENSING," and the next-generation "Honda CONNECT" with an AI assistant interface and smartphone integration via advanced connectivity, and wireless network updates.
The Honda CR-V PHEV is the first plug-in hybrid model from Honda China, scheduled for release in China in early 2021. Based on Honda's unique two-motor hybrid system "SPORT HYBRID i-MMD," the system's battery and converter have been further optimized for efficiency. It achieves an "EV-like" feel in almost all everyday driving situations, with improved driving performance, responsiveness, and quietness.

As the next-generation evolution of "Honda SENSING," the "All-Round ADAS" system features an expanded front camera and 360-degree radar that detect the vehicle's surroundings with greater precision, enhancing recognition, prediction, and judgment capabilities. It is a system that provides advanced driver assistance for complex and varied driving situations on expressways and general roads. With the safety philosophy of "Safety for Everyone" aiming to realize a society free from accidents, Honda plans to begin demonstration tests in China within the year, striving for the early realization of a zero-accident society.
