This model, an Avant version of the "A6 e-tron concept" announced at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show, adopts an electric drive system based on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform and has been developed with mass production in mind. The body dimensions are 4,960 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,440 mm in height. The exterior emphasizes its relationship with the e-tron series, featuring a closed Singleframe and a rear light strip that spans the full width. The drag coefficient is an excellent 0.22, just 0.02 higher than the A6 e-tron concept. Viewed from the side, it appears as if carved from a single block, with 22-inch large-diameter wheels and short overhangs creating proportions reminiscent of a sports car.
A key feature of the PPE models is the 100 kWh battery mounted between the front and rear axles. Models equipped with two electric motors produce a system output of 350 kW and 800 Nm of torque. The top-tier high-performance model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds. Additionally, the base version with a single rear motor realizes an on-demand all-wheel-drive system and can accelerate to 100 km/h in under 7 seconds.
The driving range exceeds 700 km on a single charge. With 800V charging technology, charging is possible at up to 270 kW. It can add over 300 km of range in just 10 minutes, and charge the battery from 5% to 80% in under 25 minutes.
The model also features innovative lighting technology, including front headlights with Digital Matrix LED and digital OLED technology that can project videos onto a wall in front of the car, three LED projectors on the sides that turn the ground into a stage of light when the doors open, and four LED projectors at the corners that project turn signals onto the ground.
