Delivering 800 PS with a top speed of 312 km/h. Capable of 60 km of electric-only driving.
The Urus, Lamborghini's first SUV and current best-seller, now welcomes the "Urus SE" PHEV model, which was revealed for the first time in Japan.
The powertrain features a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. It has been redesigned for optimal synergy with the electric powertrain, producing a maximum output of 456 kW (620 PS) and 800 Nm of torque from the engine alone.
This engine is paired with an electric powertrain delivering 141 kW (192 PS) and 483 Nm, bringing the system's total maximum output to 800 PS. It achieves a top speed of 312 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, a tenth of a second faster than the Urus S.
The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 25.9 kWh. The 8-speed automatic transmission incorporates a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, enabling an electric-only range of over 60 km. While the top speed in electric mode is 130 km/h, the engine automatically assists the electric motor above this speed.
A new feature debuting on the Urus SE is the vertically oriented electric torque-vectoring system located centrally. It is equipped with an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch that variably and continuously distributes driving torque between the front and rear axles.
The transfer case works in conjunction with a new electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the rear axle, enabling the vehicle to achieve an "on-demand" oversteer state and deliver the sensation of a pure supercar.
These systems are designed and calibrated to suit all grip conditions and driving styles, accommodating everything from race tracks to gravel, ice, sand, and dirt. They contribute to the traction and agility unique to Lamborghini's sole SUV.
The exterior has also been updated. A flowing hood without cut lines creates a sense of unity, while the headlight clusters, characterized by matrix LEDs, feature a light signature inspired by the tail of the fighting bull, Lamborghini's symbol.
The rear has also been redesigned from the ground up, with the trunk hatch and Y-shaped taillights harmonizing with the new diffuser, creating a sportier proportion.
This diffuser, combined with the new spoiler, increases rear downforce by 35% compared to the Urus S during high-speed driving, enhancing vehicle stability.
The cabin has been redesigned to highlight Lamborghini's iconic design DNA, "Feel Like a Pilot." A large 12.3-inch screen is centrally located on the dashboard.
Driving modes are selected via the "tamburo" selector on the central console. In addition to the six driving modes found in the Urus, such as Strada and Sport, four new PHEV-specific modes – EV Drive, Hybrid, and Recharge – have been added, offering a total of 11 selectable modes.
With the personalization program, over 100 body colors can be selected.
Deliveries of the Urus SE are scheduled to begin in 2025.
