Lexus has made minor improvements to its premium compact hybrid, the CT, and has begun sales.

The minor improvements to the CT further enhance its safety equipment. The CT already came standard with the "Lexus Safety System+" pre-collision safety package, which includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and a lane departure prevention function. Now, parking support brake for stationary objects is also standard on all models, improving safety.

Additionally, three new body colors, including Terra Khaki Mica Metallic, have been added, bringing the total number of choices to 13.

There are no changes to the powertrain, which features a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder hybrid engine. It produces a maximum output of 73 kW (99 ps) and a maximum torque of 142 Nm, driving the front wheels through an electronic continuously variable transmission.

Prices range from 3,869,000 yen to 4,881,000 yen.
