Hybrid Models Equipped with "e-BOXER" Also Added

The fifth-generation Impreza, launched in 2016, now introduces the top-grade "STI Sport" and hybrid models.
The hybrid models feature the "Advance" and "2.0e-L EyeSight," equipped with the "e-BOXER" electric technology. The powertrain combines a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed engine with a motor, driving all four wheels.
Meanwhile, the top-grade "STI Sport," which further accentuates the Impreza's sportiness and is said to achieve a refined and sporty ride through STI tuning, has also been added.
This model, developed with STI engineers involved in mass production, is said to have refined handling precision and improved ride quality down to the millisecond. While it uses the same 2.0-liter DOHC horizontally opposed engine as the standard model, it features tuned performance, a highly rigid body, dedicated suspension, and newly developed front dampers, creating a special vehicle.
The release is scheduled for October 8, 2020.
