A "high-performance athlete that prefers understated expression"

Porsche Japan has begun accepting reservations for the new "911 GT3 Touring Package," which Porsche describes as a "high-performance athlete that prefers understated expression."

No fixed rear wing; rear spoiler generates downforce when needed

The Touring Package traces its roots back to the 1973 "911 Carrera RS," which already focused on pure 911 design and classic interior elements. This idea was revived in 2017, appearing on the previous generation 911 GT3, and now its latest iteration has arrived.
A key exterior feature is the absence of a fixed rear wing. Instead, an automatically deploying rear spoiler generates the necessary downforce at high speeds. The rear lid grille is adorned with a "GT3 touring" logo, and the trim strips for the side windows and sports exhaust system tailpipes are finished in silver.
The 911 GT3 Touring Package also evokes the atmosphere of a classic sports car in its interior. The partial leather interior features black stitching, with the steering wheel rim, gear/selector lever, and center console cover all wrapped in black leather. Door entry guards and trim elements on the dashboard and center console are finished in black brushed aluminum.
The powertrain is a 4.0-liter flat-six engine mounted at the rear, producing a maximum output of 375 kW (510 PS), the same as the 911 GT3. While the 911 GT3 typically comes standard with a 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission, the Touring Package offers the option to switch to a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission at no additional cost.
Various options are available, most notably a special chronograph offered exclusively to owners by Porsche Design. The rotor of the movement, equipped with a flyback function, is inspired by the car's wheels and comes in six different versions corresponding to the vehicle's configuration.
The Chronograph 911 GT3 Touring Package specification features a strap made from the same leather used in Porsche vehicles, embossed with "GT3." It is distinguished by black stitching using thread exclusive to Porsche.
The price for the 911 GT3 Touring Package is 22.96 million yen.
