Designed by Flavio Manzoni, Based on the F8 Tributo

The SP48 Unica is a two-seater sports berlinetta based on the F8 Tributo platform, designed by Flavio Manzoni, Chief Design Officer at the Ferrari Styling Centre.
Integral to the design of this unique new model was the extensive use of procedural parametric modeling and 3D prototyping (additive manufacturing). The designers at the Styling Centre and engineers in Maranello leveraged these techniques to completely reimagine the front grille and engine air intakes.
Similar solutions were applied to the bodywork, creating a direct dialogue with the grille. This is particularly evident in the transition from black to the body color on elements such as the windows, roof, and engine cover. Furthermore, the reduction in the side windows and the elimination of the rear screen emphasize the SP48 Unica's powerful, sculpted form.
Viewed from directly above, the central roofline is emphasized, its graphic echoing the air intakes on the carbon fiber engine cover just ahead of the rear wing. This perfected thermal fluid dynamics design not only meets all cooling requirements but also achieves a revised aerodynamic balance. The engine cooling air intakes beneath the front bumper and rear spoiler are the most significant departure from the F8 Tributo's styling. By positioning the intercooler intakes immediately behind the side windows, the body-side intakes have been reduced, while the extended rear overhang lessens lift from the roof area, thereby increasing downforce at the rear.
Inside, specially developed laser-perforated black Alcantara is used for most of the seats and interior trim. Beneath this lies a fabric with a reddish-orange hue that shimmers iridescently, matching the exterior color. The hexagonal motif found in the roof's procedural livery and grille is incorporated here, creating a captivating link between the interior and exterior.
Upon entering the cockpit, the same hexagonal motif is immediately apparent, laser-embossed on the glossy sill covers. Accents of matte carbon fiber and Grigio Cannna di Fucile (gunmetal grey) lend a technical and exclusive atmosphere throughout the cabin.
