The V-Class lineup now includes the "V 220 d AVANTGARDE EXTRA-LONG Black Suite," a top-tier grade alongside the "V 220 d EXCLUSIVE LONG Platinum Suite," available by order only.
The base model is the "V 220 d AVANTGARDE EXTRA-LONG," measuring 5,380mm in length with a 3,430mm wheelbase. Black accents on the front grille, bumpers, and side mirrors, along with exclusive black-painted 19-inch AMG twin-spoke alloy wheels, create a powerful and refined exterior. Brand logo projector lights illuminating the ground beneath the front doors are also standard.
The interior features carbon-look trim, Nappa leather seats for all occupants, and a black roof liner, creating a chic and luxurious ambiance. Additionally, the front seats are equipped with seat ventilators and a "seat cushion length adjustment function" to customize thigh support.
A digital rearview mirror is standard, aiding visibility of the rear of the vehicle, which can be obscured by rear passengers or large cargo, contributing to safer driving. This can be switched to a conventional rearview mirror with the flick of a switch.
Between the driver and front passenger seats is a center console with a 3.2-liter refrigerator, and behind it, a cup holder with heating and cooling functions. The second row features exclusive seats with cup holders, USB ports, a smartphone tray, and storage compartments, supporting comfortable journeys. Seatback tables are also provided on the back of the front seats.
The powertrain is the same as other V-Class models: a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder diesel engine, the "OM654," producing a maximum output of 120 kW (163 hp) and peak torque of 380 Nm, driving the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Standard safety equipment includes the "RADAR SAFETY PACKAGE" and the interactive infotainment system "MBUX."
The "V 220 d AVANTGARDE EXTRA-LONG Black Suite" is priced at 12.18 million yen, with deliveries scheduled for August 2022. The revised prices for other grades are as follows:
V 220 d AVANTGARDE - 8.49 million yen
V 220 d AVANTGARDE LONG - 8.75 million yen
V 220 d AVANTGARDE EXTRA-LONG - 9.01 million yen
V 220 d Marco Polo HORIZON - 10.27 million yen
V 220 d EXCLUSIVE LONG Platinum Suite - 12.18 million yen
