On Thursday, January 9, British marque Aston Martin announced it will produce the new V12 Speedster, a model strictly limited to just 88 units worldwide.

The Aston Martin V12 Speedster is a model created through the collaboration of Aston Martin's personalization service, 'Q by Aston Martin,' and its design and engineering teams. It combines the design of a genuine driver-focused two-seater sports car with cutting-edge motorsport and aeronautical technology.

Its design draws inspiration from the legendary DBR1, winner of the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 1000 km Nürburgring, and the CC100 Speedster concept unveiled in 2013 to commemorate Aston Martin's centenary.

The engine is a high-performance version of the current 5.2-liter V12 Twin-Turbo, producing 700ps and 700Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF mounted at the rear, it is announced to deliver thrilling V12 sound, captivating performance, and superb responsiveness.

The 88 fortunate drivers and collectors who acquire it will not only feel the weight of our history but also own a model that symbolizes a new era for Aston Martin."

Production will be entirely by hand, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2021.
