Porsche Taycan's Entry-Level Model, the Taycan 4S, Makes its Debut
Porsche has announced the Taycan 4S, the entry-level model in its fully electric sports car Taycan series.
Maximum Range of 463km, the Longest in the Series
The newly announced Taycan 4S is positioned as an entry-level model following the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo. Two battery sizes are available for the powertrain. The standard "Performance Battery" generates a maximum output of 390kW (530PS), with a total capacity of 79.2kWh, a range of 407km (WLTP mode), and a maximum charging capacity of 225kW.
The optional "Performance Battery Plus," shared with higher-end models, offers a maximum output of 420kW (571PS), a total capacity of 93.4kWh, a range of 463km (WLTP mode), and a maximum charging capacity of 270kW.
Both versions achieve 0-100km/h in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h. The all-wheel-drive system, featuring a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, remains unchanged from the Turbo and Turbo S models.
Exterior features exclusive to the 4S include aerodynamically optimized 19-inch "Taycan S Aero" wheels, red-painted brake calipers, a newly shaped front apron, and black side sills and rear diffuser.
LED headlights incorporating the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus are standard.
The interior is equipped with a 10.9-inch infotainment display on the center of the dashboard, a passenger display (optional), and 8-way electrically adjustable front comfort seats. The use of partial leather upholstery achieves a completely leather-free interior, emphasizing the sustainable concept of this electric sports car. Pricing and launch date in Japan are yet to be determined.
