Pursuing "Beautiful Design" and "Enjoyable Driving"

The new Crown made its world premiere in July 2023. As a global brand expanding from Japan to the world, it features a lineup of four distinctive models.
The "Sport," for which orders have now begun as the second model, is described by Toyota as pursuing "beautiful design" and "enjoyable driving" that resonate with the senses, as a "new form" of SUV.
With dimensions of 4,720mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1,565mm in height, the exterior creates a sporty and dynamic style befitting an SUV bearing the "Sport" name. The fenders, which bulge significantly from the D-pillar to the rear tires, enhance the low-center-of-gravity impression and, combined with the large 21-inch tires, create a powerful presence.
The hammerhead face, evolved from the Crossover model, integrates slim daytime running lights within a black housing, lending a sharper and more determined expression. The wide stance further accentuates its sporty character.
The interior features an asymmetrical coordination between the driver and front passenger seats. The driver's area is unified in black to enhance driving focus, while the passenger side uses special materials and colors to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Furthermore, by horizontally consolidating the meters and displays, eye movement is minimized, creating a space where drivers can focus on the joy of driving without confusion.
Additionally, Toyota's "sound-regulating ceiling," which reflects interior sound, is adopted for the first time to facilitate direct communication and conversation between occupants.
The powertrain is the same 2.5-liter series parallel hybrid system found in the "Crown Crossover." By effectively utilizing electric energy, it contributes to improved low-speed response, direct acceleration from medium to high speeds, as well as fuel efficiency and quietness.
Furthermore, the vehicle is engineered to live up to its "Sport" name. Unique suspension settings have been implemented, with a focus on road feel and damping force that accurately convey the car's intentions and reactions.
The DRS (Dynamic Rear Steering) system has also been optimally tuned for the vehicle. It enhances agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds, increasing the joy of driving the car exactly as intended.
The latest "Toyota Safety Sense" is standard equipment. It includes Proactive Driving Assist (PDA), which provides deceleration and steering support.
The body is available in six monotone and five two-tone color options. The ability to choose from a wide range of colors is also one of the appeals of the "Crown Sport."
The price for the HEV model of the "Crown Sport" is 5.9 million yen.
The entire Crown series was displayed at the Crown Sport launch venue. From left: Crossover, Sport, Sedan, and Estate.
In addition, the "Crown Sport" PHEV model is scheduled for release in December 2023, the "Crown Sedan" around November 2023, and the "Crown Estate" within 2023.
