Piaggio Group Japan has launched sales of the Vespa LX125 i-get, the lightest and most compact model in the Vespa lineup, with the addition of a new Coral color.

The Vespa LX, named after the Roman numeral 'LX' for 60, celebrating the Vespa brand's 60th anniversary in 2005, now features a new Coral color inspired by the coral reefs of tropical seas.

The Vespa LX received significant updates in 2019. While retaining its elegant, classic appearance and minimalist, user-friendly body, it is now equipped with modern features such as LED headlights and a USB socket.

The LED headlamp has been adopted for improved visibility. The iconic steering column cover, commonly known as the 'tie,' has also been redesigned. The silencer cover and mirror designs are new, and a glove box, convenient for storing items like rain gear, sunglasses, or gloves, is equipped inside the front shield.

Furthermore, the seat shape has been revised; the seating surface is now flatter and narrower, making it more comfortable for riders of smaller stature.

The chassis has also evolved. The single arm with coil spring and shock absorber has been refined for a more comfortable ride. The link between the engine and chassis has been improved, and a newly adopted double swingarm system reduces engine vibrations.

The power unit is a 125cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine. The wheels are aluminum with a new 5-spoke design. Braking is handled by a 200mm disc brake at the front and a 110mm drum brake at the rear.

The price is 396,000 yen, with deliveries scheduled to begin sequentially from late October 2020.
