A Pure EV Sized for Easy Handling on Japanese Roads

The EQA measures 4,465mm in length, 1,835mm in width, and 1,625mm in height, making it a size that is easy to maneuver on Japanese roads. At the same time, it is a pure EV that balances everyday usability as an SUV.
The powertrain drives the front wheels via a motor on the front axle. The motor produces a maximum output of 140 kW (190 hp) and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. The mounting method of the motor has been cleverly designed to prevent vibrations and noise from the motor from reaching the cabin.
The high-voltage battery is a lithium-ion type, mounted in the floor section between the front and rear axles. It has a capacity of 66.5 kWh and achieves a range of 422 km in WLTC mode. The EQA also incorporates efficient regenerative control to extend its range, which can be manually set by the driver in five stages.
The exterior adopts the unique EQ design that conveys a sense of advanced technology, characterized by short front and rear overhangs and curved lines. The standard specification includes 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels optimized for aerodynamics, while the AMG Line specification features 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels with a delicate design.
The interior also incorporates unique EQ design elements. With consideration for sustainability, the fabric for the standard seats is made from recycled materials derived from plastic bottles. The AMG Line specification includes leather DINAMICA seats with red stitching, and black leather seats are also available as an option.
The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, with its natural language voice recognition activated by "Hey Mercedes," also features programs specific to EQ. It supports pure EV-specific functions such as "Find a charging station" and "Set the car's climate control by 8 AM." Additionally, it allows for opening and closing of windows and the sliding roof via smartphone, as well as checking battery levels.
For safety features, the "Intelligent Drive" system, which enhances situational awareness through advanced stereo multi-purpose cameras and radar sensors, is equipped as standard.
The price for the EQA250 is 6.4 million yen.
