Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo Models Also Introduced to Japan

Maserati has announced its 2021 models. This year, the Ghibli, Maserati's first hybrid model, will also arrive in Japan.
The 2021 model of the Ghibli features a refreshed exterior and a significantly upgraded multimedia system. The new design of the front grille and the new boomerang-shaped rear light cluster, inspired by the 3200GT and Alfieri designed by Giugiaro, enhance its sophisticated impression.

Additionally, the Ghibli will introduce Maserati's first hybrid model. The engine, developed in Modena, Italy, is a mild hybrid combining a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbo, a 48V alternator, an e-booster, and a battery, aiming to improve combustion efficiency while focusing on performance enhancement.
The battery is located at the rear of the vehicle, contributing to ideal weight distribution. It produces a maximum output of 330 ps and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, with a top speed of 255 km/h and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
At the same time, the design is characterized by a blue color, symbolizing a clean car, finished to be instantly recognizable as a hybrid model.
Following the Levante Trofeo, described as "the most extreme and powerful SUV," launched in 2018, the Ghibli and Quattroporte will also feature models equipped with the Trofeo engine. Powered by a 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine producing 580 ps and 730 Nm of torque, the Ghibli Trofeo boasts a top speed of 326 km/h, surpassing the Levante Trofeo's 302 km/h, a record for Maserati.
The styling of the Trofeo collection is even more aggressive, featuring carbon fiber front air duct trim and rear extractors. The interior also inherits these design features, with "Trofeo" lettering embroidered on the headrests, creating a special finish.
