BMW Announces 2022 K 1600 Series Large Motorcycles
BMW has announced the 2022 models of its K 1600 series of large motorcycles, powered by a six-cylinder engine. Four models will be available, releasing on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Featuring an improved 1.6-liter inline-six engine for enhanced torque and fuel efficiency
Four distinct models have been introduced to the K 1600 series.
The lineup includes the particularly agile and dynamic K 1600 GT, the K 1600 GTL for superior ride comfort, and the K 1600 B, which differs significantly from the other two. Its low-slung rear section and bagger style create a distinctive streamlined silhouette.

Furthermore, the K 1600 Grand America, a derivative of the K 1600 B, combines unique features and equipment. Its top case includes speakers, promising a comfortable and engaging long-distance ride in the American highway cruising style.
All models are equipped with the refined 1.6-liter inline-six engine, boasting significant improvements in fuel efficiency. While peak output remains unchanged at 118 kW (160 hp), the engine reaches this power at 6,750 rpm, 1,000 rpm lower than before. Maximum torque is increased by 5 Nm to 180 Nm, resulting in enhanced pulling power and even stronger acceleration.

The suspension, featuring BMW Motorrad's next-generation Dynamic ESA (electronic suspension adjustment), automatically adapts damping based on riding conditions and input, contributing to a high level of stability, performance, and comfort.
Additionally, standard equipment includes a new 10.25-inch TFT color display with connectivity, an audio system, and cornering adaptive headlights.
Pricing for the K 1600 series is as follows: the K 1600 GT is ¥3,421,000, the K 1600 GTL is ¥3,613,000, the K 1600 B is ¥3,477,000, and the K 1600 Grand America is ¥3,693,000.
