Improved Usability and Comfort
While the Mégane series had already transitioned to the new third generation with the 5-door hatchback, 3-door coupé, and station wagon, this marks the full model change for the long-awaited coupé cabriolet.
This new Mégane Coupé Cabriolet not only features a refreshed design but also boasts enhanced usability and comfort. Firstly, the glass roof. While the opening and closing time remains nearly the same as the previous model at 21 seconds, the window screen's upper edge has been moved 60mm forward to improve ease of entry and exit.
A glass wind deflector has been adopted behind the rear seats to reduce wind buffeting, and a detachable mesh wind deflector can also be fitted behind the front seat headrests. This allows for a comfortable drive from any seat when the top is down.
Six Engine Options, Both Gasoline and Diesel
The interior is available in three main color schemes: Dark Charcoal, Light Beige, and Charcoal. The door trims, known as Butterfly Wings and inspired by butterfly wings, are exclusive to the Coupé Cabriolet design.
Environmental performance has also been a focus. There are six engine options in total, combining gasoline and diesel. In addition to a 6-speed manual transmission paired with all engines, a "CVT" is available for the 2.0-liter 16V gasoline model, and a newly developed dual-clutch transmission "EDC" is offered for some diesel models, contributing to improved fuel efficiency.
The new Mégane Coupé Cabriolet, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, is scheduled for release in Europe around spring.
