Lexus has unveiled its first luxury yacht, the "LY650," to the world. Sales will begin in conjunction with the "Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show," opening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Wednesday, October 30th.

In 2017, Lexus announced the "Sport Yacht Concept," a luxury boat concept model. Now, Lexus's first flagship vessel, the "LY650," a symbol of Lexus's challenges beyond automobiles as envisioned by President Akio Toyoda, has finally arrived.

While the basic concept is inherited from the "Sport Yacht Concept," the dimensions have been increased to 19.94 meters in length and 5.76 meters in width, allowing for the creation of a more luxurious space.

The exterior embodies Lexus's design philosophy with its rounded bow, a stern emphasizing volume, a coupe-like roofline, and styling that accentuates the rear.

The interior was a collaboration with yacht design firm "Nuvolari Lenard," reflecting Japan's "omotenashi" (hospitality) philosophy. The bright, open interior space, based on white, combines curved designs with innovative lighting.

The salon features a helm station and sofa forward, with a galley aft. Furthermore, below the salon, three bedrooms with over two meters of headroom have been prepared, each equipped with a private ensuite bathroom.

The powertrain consists of two Volvo Penta IPS systems. The use of CFRP for the hull and upper bridge ensures light weight and high rigidity. Equipped with the advanced boat connectivity technology "LY-Link," users can remotely control air conditioning and lighting, and monitor the vessel's status via smartphone.

Construction was handled by Marquis-Larson Boat Group in the United States, which implements the Toyota Production System. Lexus states that skilled craftsmanship is evident in the seat stitching, furniture finishing, and polishing before hull painting.
