Toyota Announces Minor Improvements to the Crown and a 65th Anniversary Special Edition Model

On April 27, Toyota announced minor improvements to its premium sedan, the Crown, along with the introduction of two special edition models commemorating its 65th anniversary and a sport-themed special edition. Sales commenced the same day.

Enhanced Functionality and Interior Refinement

This update adds smartphone integration features such as "Smart Device Link," "Apple CarPlay," and "Android Auto" to the T-Connect SD navigation system. The interior has been elevated with synthetic leather accents for a more premium feel. Furthermore, the "RS" and "RS Four" grades now feature a curated selection of equipment. Prices range from 4.65 million yen (B) to 7.321 million yen (G-Executive).

Three Special Edition Models

To celebrate the Crown's 65th anniversary, the "RS" and "RS Four" based special edition "Limited" model features 18-inch aluminum wheels with black sputtering finish, and seats crafted from a combination of fabric and synthetic leather for a premium, sporty feel (with front seat heaters).

Crown RS "Limited" Special Edition

It is equipped with the "C Package" equivalent, which includes safety features like Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert Brake [Parking Support Brake (Rear)], as well as comfort features such as a front passenger seat shoulder power switch (for seat slide and recline). Prices range from 5.169 million yen to 5.609 million yen.

Crown S "Elegance Style II" Special Edition

Similarly, the 65th anniversary "Elegance Style II" special edition, based on the "S" and "S Four" models, features exterior enhancements including 18-inch "Hyper Chrome Metallic" noise-reduction aluminum wheels with center ornaments, and outside door handles with chrome accents.

The interior is available in three color schemes: black, light gray, and beige. It features seats combining high-quality "Brannob" material with synthetic leather, and a black wood grain (keyaki-style) center console. Like the "Limited" model, it includes the "C Package" equivalent. Prices range from 5.063 million yen to 5.503 million yen.

Crown S "Sport Style" Special Edition

Additionally, the "Sport Style" special edition, based on the "S" and "S Four" models, boasts exterior features such as 18-inch aluminum wheels with black sputtering finish, Bi-Beam LED headlights with smoked lenses, LED combination taillights, and a smoked chrome finish on the front grille and fog lamp bezels. The interior, with its black color scheme accented in red, is designed to evoke a sophisticated sportiness. This model also includes the "C Package" equivalent, with prices ranging from 5.063 million yen to 5.503 million yen.
