All-Wheel Drive and 6MT Models Introduced for the Coupe

The "F-Type," whose convertible was released in Japan last May and the coupe in June of this year, is a next-generation Jaguar. Its streamlined form, designed by Ian Callum, who has worked on numerous sports models including Jaguars, and its all-aluminum body contribute to agile performance.

The 2016 model, available for order from November 20th, adds an all-wheel drive (AWD) model to the "F-Type Coupe," which was previously only available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This new AWD model features Jaguar's unique "Intelligent Driveline Dynamics" control system for instant power delivery. Furthermore, the "F-Type S Coupe" will also be available with a 6-speed manual transmission.



Meanwhile, the three convertible models have been reduced to two: the "F-Type Convertible" equipped with a 3-liter V6 engine, and the "F-Type R Convertible" featuring a 5-liter V8 supercharged engine delivering a maximum output of 495 kW (550 ps) and 680 Nm of torque. With the coupe and convertible combined, the lineup now consists of seven models.

All models come standard with Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) for stable driving and a 770W surround sound system from Meridian. The "F-Type S" and "F-Type R" also include cruise control and an automatic speed limiter as standard. Additionally, a carbon fiber roof option is now available for all coupe models.

Prices start at 8.59 million yen for the "F-Type Coupe" and go up to 13.97 million yen for the top-of-the-line "F-Type R Coupe AWD." The "F-Type Convertible" is priced at 10.13 million yen, and the "F-Type R Convertible" at 14.81 million yen.

A Special Edition Featuring Passionate Orange Body Color and Features Selected by Nishikori

The "F-Type KEI NISHIKORI EDITION," a special edition model, has been created with input from professional tennis player Kei Nishikori, who became a Jaguar ambassador in September and recently reached the semifinals at the World Tour Finals. Nishikori selected the interior and exterior colors and features based on the 2016 F-Type models. This special edition will be available across all seven 2016 models, with a limited production of five units each, totaling 35 vehicles.

The body color is a passionate metallic paint finish called Fire Sand (orange), with key components unified in gloss black. It is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels in a carbon fiber finish and red brake calipers.

Prices range from 10.46 million yen for the basic F-Type Coupe to 15.26 million yen for the F-Type R Convertible.
