Limited Edition "V60 Polestar" Arrives October 1st

Opened on Sunday, September 21st, in Shiodome Sio-site, Minato-ku, Tokyo, "VOLVO LOUNGE IN SHIODOME" by Volvo Car Japan is a temporary event space where visitors can experience Volvo's latest models and safety features up close. The venue features the premium compact hatchback, theV40", along with models equipped with the new "Drive-E" 2-liter inline 4-cylinder direct-injection turbo engine.Sports Sedan "S60", Sports Wagon "V60", and the crossover SUV "XC60" are lined up.

Additionally, starting Wednesday, October 1st, the "S60 / V60 Polestar", jointly developed with Volvo's official race partner Polestar, will feature the "V60 Polestar" station wagon. This high-performance model, powered by a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder turbo engine delivering a maximum output of 350ps/5,250rpm and maximum torque of 500Nm/3,000-4,750rpm, can be seen up close. Notably, the S60/V60 Polestar are extremely rare, with only 750 units produced worldwide, and just 90 units combined for both models available in Japan.



During weekdays, from 12:15 PM for approximately 30 minutes, the venue will host lunchtime concerts to offer a relaxing break for local business professionals. Furthermore, at a nearby separate venue, in conjunction with the "National Autumn Traffic Safety Campaign," a special booth in cooperation with the police department will be open until September 30th (Tuesday). This booth will emphasize the importance of seat belts and child seats, while also showcasing Volvo's advanced safety technologies, such as the world's first pedestrian airbag and systems designed to avoid or mitigate collisions with vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.



VOLVO LOUNGE IN SHIODOME will be held for a limited period of approximately one month, until Saturday, October 18th.
