Honda announced on Thursday, December 19, that it would make minor improvements to its fuel cell vehicle (FCV), the Clarity Fuel Cell, and begin sales.

The Clarity Fuel Cell debuted in 2016 as a five-seater sedan. It is an FCV sedan that achieves a driving range of approximately 750 km on a single hydrogen fill-up and was the world's first to offer seating for five.

The minor improvements include changing the door mirrors to black for a cohesive look with the roof, and applying a gray metallic finish to the aluminum wheels to enhance their texture. Furthermore, glass that cuts both UV and infrared rays has been adopted throughout the cabin, improving interior comfort.

Honda also states that performance in low temperatures has been improved, making the vehicle usable in a wider range of environments.

The body is available in three colors, including black and white, all with a black roof. While exclusively available through leasing, the reference price is ¥7,836,400.
