A 7-Seater Joins Citroën's Best-Selling MPV
Stellantis Japan launched the "Berlingo Long," a long-wheelbase, 3-row, 7-seater version of Citroën's MPV, on January 18.

Introduced to Japan in October 2020, the Berlingo has since become a best-seller, accounting for approximately half of Citroën's domestic sales. Its unique Citroën style, excellent utility, and comfort have earned it widespread support as a partner for both hobbies and work.
The Berlingo Long measures 4,770mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,870mm in height, making it 365mm longer and 20mm taller than the short-body model. The wheelbase is extended by 190mm to 2,975mm.
The third-row seats, made possible by the extended body, can slide fore and aft, offering ample space for adults to relax, complemented by generous headroom. The third-row seats are removable, and when the second-row seats are folded down, the luggage space expands to a maximum of 2,693 liters.
The exterior retains the unique Citroën style of the short-body Berlingo, but the extended length lends it a more composed design. The rear tailgate opens upwards, and when space behind the vehicle is limited, the rear glass can be opened independently for compact access to the luggage compartment.
The powertrain remains the same as the short-body model: a 1.5-liter clean diesel engine producing 130ps and 300Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Two grades are available: "SHINE" and the higher-grade "SHINE XTR PACK." The basic equipment is consistent with the short-body SHINE and SHINE XTR PACK models. The SHINE XTR PACK features 17-inch wheels, underguard-style decorations on the front and rear bumpers, an orange accent color pack, front door badges, unique seat upholstery, and a dedicated dashboard and door trim. Additionally, both grades are equipped with Park Assist, which automatically handles steering during parallel and bay parking maneuvers.
Pricing starts at ¥4,433,000 for the SHINE and ¥4,554,000 for the SHINE XTR PACK.
