Toyota announced the launch of its new compact SUV, the Raize, on Tuesday, November 5th.

Bold Stance with 17-Inch Wheels

Toyota has unveiled the new compact SUV, the Raize. Developed under the concept of "Active, Useful, Compact," this model boasts a powerful silhouette despite its 5-number size dimensions (3,995mm length x 1,695mm width), achieved through the fitment of large 17-inch wheels.

The engine is a 1.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo producing a maximum output of 72kW (98ps) and a maximum torque of 140Nm. It is paired with Toyota's first D-CVT, which incorporates a split gear. The drive system is available in either FF or 4WD.

Furthermore, the adoption of a new platform, featuring optimized structural design and lightweight, high-strength high-tensile steel plates, is said to ensure stable driving performance.

The interior features silver and red accent colors in various places, adding a touch of quality and playfulness. A seamless display integrating an LED digital speedometer and a 7-inch TFT color LCD screen creates a futuristic, full-screen effect. An optional 9-inch display audio system with smartphone connectivity is also available.

Safety features include "Adaptive Cruise Control with Full-Speed Range Following" and the "Smart Panorama Parking Assist" parking support system.

The body is available in eight colors, including the newly developed Turquoise Blue Mica Metallic, which emphasizes an active feel. Two-tone specifications with a contrasting roof color are also offered.

Prices range from 1,679,000 yen to 2,282,200 yen.
