Citroën's Premium Range

This model is undoubtedly a harbinger of the DS series' direction, set to be revived in 2010 after a 34-year hiatus.

The first thing one notices is that, like the original DS, which served as Citroën's flagship from the 1950s to the 1970s, this car will likely spearhead the premium range within the lineup.

The DS Inside, unveiled on this occasion, is a compact 3-door hatchback that exudes a level of refinement comparable to luxury sedans. Its distinctive features include a unique waistline, a substantial B-pillar, flared fenders, and striking chrome accents.

In recent years, globally, rising gasoline prices and increased environmental awareness have led to a shift from larger vehicles to smaller ones. In response, Citroën developed the DS Inside with the concept of creating a car that "possesses the individuality to satisfy owner pride while meeting the economic needs truly sought by users."

Upon its market release, this Inside model is expected to debut as the DS3, with two other variants, the mid-size "DS4" and the large "DS5," also planned for the lineup.

We look forward to Citroën's new model development, set to begin next year.
