A Testing Facility to Support Bentley's Electrification Strategy

Scheduled for completion next autumn, the engineering test centre will serve as a testing facility to support Bentley's electrification efforts. The two-story facility, spanning over 4,600 square meters, will include office space and a 1,550 square meter area dedicated to a chassis dynamometer capable of operating within a temperature range of minus 10 to plus 40 degrees Celsius.
Additionally, a dedicated laboratory will be established to measure real-world emissions (Real Driving Emissions, RDE) using the latest portable emissions measurement systems. More than 100 employees will work in Bentley's technical compliance department based at this test centre.
Once operational, the test centre will also support the development of models such as the Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Bentley's first electrified model, the Bentayga Hybrid.
Bentley has pledged to offer hybrid or electric variants for all its models by 2023. The new engineering test centre is poised to become a crucial facility for Bentley's electrification initiatives.
