Toyota Sets Three Special Edition Grades for the Corolla and Corolla Touring
On May 13, Toyota announced that it would offer the GX-"PLUS" and Hybrid GX-"PLUS" special editions for its flagship Corolla and Corolla Touring models, along with the "2000 Limited" special edition for the Corolla Touring, limited to 500 units.

New Engine Developed with TNGA Philosophy Debuts in Corolla Series
The GX-"PLUS", available from May 13, is based on the GX and comes standard with safety features such as Intelligent Clearance Sonar [Parking Support Brake (Stationary Objects)] and a rearview monitor, as well as privacy glass with UV cut function for enhanced interior privacy.

The interior features silver paint on the meter surrounds and steering wheel, and satin chrome accents on the register knobs.
Pricing for the Corolla GX-"PLUS" is ¥1,972,300, and for the Hybrid GX-"PLUS", ¥2,439,800 (2WD) and ¥2,637,800 (4WD). For the Corolla Touring, the GX-"PLUS" is ¥2,049,300, and the Hybrid GX-"PLUS" is ¥2,516,800 (2WD) and ¥2,714,800 (4WD).

Additionally, the Corolla Touring "2000 Limited", available from June 1 and limited to 500 units, marks the first time the M20A-FKS 2.0-liter Dynamic Force engine, developed with the TNGA philosophy, is installed in the Corolla series.

Paired with the Direct Shift-CVT (10-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic with paddle shifters), it delivers powerful and direct acceleration from a standstill to high speeds while achieving an excellent fuel economy of 16.6 km/ℓ in WLTC mode. It is said to offer exhilarating performance on winding roads or when carrying gear for sports and outdoor activities with friends.

The exterior is stylish with 17-inch aluminum wheels featuring machined bright and black paint, silver metallic painted roof rails, and body colors including the specially set Red Mica Metallic and Blue Metallic (4 colors total).

The interior includes equipment equivalent to the higher grades, along with fabric sports front seats with high hold and water-repellent treatment (with seat heaters), red accents on the instrument panel ornaments and center cluster, and gray stitching on the center console and door armrests.

Comfort features such as a steering heater, air contaminant monitor, and nanoe, as well as advanced equipment like a black-accented 9-inch display audio, a 3-dial Optitron meter with a three-dimensional appearance + 7-inch color multi-information display, and a color head-up display are also included.
