Limited Edition V12 Speedster Unveiled
Aston Martin has unveiled the much-anticipated V12 Speedster, which will be produced in a limited run of 88 units.
Powered by a 5.2-Liter V12 Twin-Turbo Engine
The V12 Speedster, previously announced for production, has now been unveiled.
Hand-built by Q by Aston Martin, the brand's personalization service, the design draws inspiration not only from Aston Martin's past racing models but also from aviation, a theme reflected in the car's body color.
The body utilizes the latest bonded aluminum structure. While the design echoes elements of the DBS Superleggera and Vantage, it revives the bonnet design element once known as 'nostrils' at Aston Martin.
At its heart lies a 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, producing a maximum output of 710ps and 753Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, it accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300km/h.
Particular attention has been paid to the exhaust note, with a bespoke stainless-steel exhaust system developed. Routed centrally at the rear, above the diffuser, the exhaust delivers a deep, characterful sound.
The interior fuses tradition and modernity through its materials. Satin carbon fiber, traditional hand-crafted saddle leather, chrome, aluminum, and 3D-printed rubber are employed as structural elements, creating a slim, efficient style that sheds unnecessary bulk.
Production will be limited to 88 units, with prices starting at £765,000 (approximately ¥106.8 million). Deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
