Jaguar Land Rover Japan has announced the limited-edition "SV Autobiography Dynamic Edition" for the 2020 model year of the Land Rover SUV, the Velar. It will be sold in a limited run of 53 units in Japan.

A new top-grade model, developed by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), has been released in limited numbers for the Velar, the mid-size SUV in Land Rover's top-tier Range Rover lineup.

It is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged gasoline engine, tuned by SVO to produce a maximum output of 405kW (550ps) and 680Nm of torque. It achieves a top speed of 274km/h and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds.

The exterior features a revised front bumper with enlarged air intakes. The shape of the under-transmission tunnel undertray has also been refined, enhancing aerodynamics.

Furthermore, SVO has enhanced the all-wheel-drive system, electric power-assisted steering, air suspension, and variable valve active exhaust system for improved performance. The chassis and roll bar rigidity have been increased, and large-diameter disc brakes, designed for superior cooling and brake feel, have also been adopted.

The interior also boasts exclusive features such as specially designed leather seats, elevating the sense of luxury and elegance.

A total of 53 units will be sold: 5 in white, 10 in black, 10 in grey, 10 in metallic blue, and 10 in satin blue from the SVO Premium Palette. The price for white, black, and grey models is ¥17,698,000, metallic blue is ¥17,766,000, and satin blue is ¥18,627,000.
