The Revival of the Super Saloon
Following the 2010 debut of the One-77, the 2012 V12 Zagato, and last year's centenary celebration model, the CC100 Speedster Concept, Aston Martin is set to unveil another exclusive, limited-production model.
This new model draws inspiration from the 1976 four-door saloon "Lagonda," designed by William Towns. It aims to recreate that car's avant-garde styling and advanced digital instrumentation, which garnered significant attention at the time, by employing modern technologies such as the VH architecture and carbon fibre body panels. Production will be handled by skilled artisans at Aston Martin's Gaydon facility.
This exclusive model will be offered solely in the Middle East market to a select clientele. While the anticipated price remains undisclosed, Aston Martin assures that it will be a super saloon embodying quality and luxury commensurate with its cost.
Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Design Director, stated, "Positioned alongside the 'One-77' and 'V12 Zagato,' this new model is a work of automotive art. It has been developed to fully embody the spirit and ethos of the original Lagonda. The name 'Lagonda' is thus proudly carried forward as a tribute."
