Within Citroen's lineup, the DS line embodies a chic aesthetic, consciously evoking its French origins.DS3The DS3, announced as the first model in this series, has already sold over 300,000 units worldwide, with 66 percent of buyers being new customers. Currently, the lineup includes theDS4andDS5, bringing the total to four models: the entry-level "DS3" and the convertible modelDS3 Cabrio.
The latest updates have been applied to the "DS3" and "DS3 Cabrio." Notable changes include new headlights combining xenon and three LED units, along with redesigned indicator lamps encircling the unit. These impart a novel impression while reducing power consumption by 35 percent for low beams and 75 percent for high beams compared to halogen lights, contributing to improved fuel efficiency. With a lifespan 20 times longer, they also help reduce environmental impact.
At the rear, the 3D combination lights, creating a sense of depth, continue to be featured, emphasizing the DS identity.
In terms of powertrains, a model featuring the PureTech "e-VTi 82" gasoline engine paired with a 5-speed single-clutch "ETG5" transmission has been introduced. It boasts fuel economy exceeding 4.1 L/100km (approximately 24.4 km/L) and low CO2 emissions of 95g/km, according to EU measurements. Additionally, the lineup includes the environmentally friendly BlueHDi 100 diesel engine, achieving fuel efficiency of 3.0 L/100km (approximately 33.3 km/L) and CO2 emissions of 79g/km using SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust gas purification technology, along with its higher-output variant, the BlueHDi 120.
Furthermore, the Active City Brake, Citroen's first autonomous emergency braking system, has been adopted. Operating at speeds below 30 km/h, it automatically applies the brakes if the vehicle gets too close to a car ahead or a stationary vehicle, helping to avoid or mitigate the impact of a collision.
In parallel, a new personalization program called "Irresistible Paris" has been introduced. True to its name, which evokes the allure of Paris, silhouettes of iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe are printed on the rear quarter windows and dashboard. New body colors and wheel designs are also available.
