Third Edition of BMW 116i Fashionista Arrives in Limited Run of 470 Units

BMWOn the 25th, BMW announced the "116i Fashionista," a special limited edition of the 1 Series. Sales have begun for a limited run of 470 units.

The BMW "1 Series" special limited edition "116i Fashionista," stylishly finished with a white exterior and bright interior, was released on February 25th. This is the third edition, following models released last February and in September.September

The 1 Series, BMW's entry-level model, is the only FR (front-engine, rear-wheel drive) model in the premium compact hatchback segment. The base "116i" is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 100 kW (136 hp) and a peak torque of 220 Nm (22.4 kgm).

The exterior features a white body color, kidney grille bars, and 17-inch Y-spoke style alloy wheels, emphasizing a sophisticated look. Inside, warm Oyster-colored Dakota leather and wood interior trim create a bright and modern cabin.

Functionality includes a rearview camera to assist with parking in tight spaces and Park Distance Control, which measures the distance to obstacles using sensors. It also incorporates features like Servotronic for agile handling during parking and Comfort Access, allowing for keyless locking and unlocking.

Safety equipment is also standard, including collision avoidance and damage mitigation braking, and BMW SOS Call, which connects to a call center in case of an accident to arrange for prompt assistance such as emergency services.

Additionally, an optional upgrade package is available, combining the highly requested electric front seats, an ETC onboard unit system, and a storage package to enhance comfort when transporting pets or luggage.

The price is 3.68 million yen, a modest increase of 600,000 yen over the base model, despite incorporating special features worth 880,000 yen.
