Emphasizing the Dynamism of the Ghost

Rolls-Royce has launched the "V Specification," a special edition of the "Ghost" available for order only between January and June 2014. The model is touted as emphasizing the dynamism inherent in the Ghost.


The standard Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine producing 563 bhp (570 ps) and 780 Nm of torque. Despite weighing nearly 2.5 tons, it boasts performance capable of 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds. Furthermore, with 80 percent of its maximum torque available from idle, it achieves smooth acceleration without needing to rev the engine, while also ensuring exceptional quietness.


In the V Specification, the engine's maximum output is increased by 30 bhp to 593 bhp (601 ps). Additionally, the V Specification motif is subtly incorporated on the hand-drawn coachlines along the body sides, as well as on the multimedia system cover and rear center console, enhancing its unique character. The analog clock on the dashboard, featuring black and silver dials, is also exclusive to this model.

Five special body colors are offered: Graphite, Black Sapphire, Black Kirsch, Arctic White, and Infinity Black. However, as with the standard model, customers can choose from 44,000 bespoke colors to suit their preferences.



Furthermore, optional enhancements to heighten the sense of dynamism include chrome exhaust tips and 21-inch part-polished wheels.



The V Specification, available for limited orders until June, can be specified for both the standard and long-wheelbase (EWB) models. Orders are also planned for Japan, though pricing has not yet been announced.
