The Most Powerful Aston Martin Ever
On February 4, Aston Martin announced the 'V12 Vantage,' its most powerful model to date, based on the 'V8 Vantage.'

Powered by a 517ps 6-liter V12
This model is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine, with two selectable engine characteristics: 'Normal' and 'Sport.' The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) also includes a track mode designed for circuit driving.
According to Aston Martin, it achieves a maximum output of 517ps and a peak torque of 58.1kgm, a significant performance improvement compared to the base V8 model. Although the engine itself is about 100kg heavier than the V8 unit, the use of aluminum and carbon fiber for the chassis and body materials keeps the car's overall weight to 1680kg, only 50kg more than the V8 Vantage. The weight reduction can be considered a success.
Official Debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3
The transmission is a 6-speed manual. These elements allow the 'V12 Vantage' to achieve 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 305km/h.
Exterior features include bonnet air vents and LED taillights. The aerodynamic parts, such as the carbon fiber diffuser at the rear, incorporate technology and know-how gained from racing.
The official unveiling of this model is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show, opening on March 3, where pricing will also be announced. Sales are planned to begin in Europe after this summer, with an annual production of 300-500 units. Aston Martin has stated that 'due to the extensive handcrafting involved, producing more is physically impossible.'
BRAND HISTORY
Currently garnering global attention as the coolest sports car brand, Aston Martin of the UK holds a prominent position. Founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, this small company adopted the Aston Martin name after achieving success in hill-climb competitions known as Aston Clinton, subsequently leaving a brilliant mark on the history of motorsport and sports cars.
Conversely, the company has faced numerous financial crises, each time receiving a helping hand, charting a truly tumultuous course. For instance, David Brown, who became owner in 1947, left his mark with sports cars like the 'DB2' and racing machines like the 'DBR1,' leveraging his excellent management skills and engineering acumen. More recently, Ford's sale of its stake to an investment group led by David Richards, founder of Prodrive, is still fresh in memory.
However, Aston Martin has consistently pursued the creation of sports cars imbued with potent power and exquisite style throughout its history. The current lineup includes the 'V8 Vantage' and 'DB9.' Furthermore, the 'DBS,' a new flagship model that will succeed the 'Vanquish,' is expected to make its debut in Japan in the near future.
