Charity to Fight Breast Cancer
This year marks the 10th anniversary since the first Phantom was delivered on January 1, 2003, at 00:01. To commemorate this milestone, Rolls-Royce is collaborating with enthusiasts for an exhibition at the Classic Motor Show. Among the displays, however, it is not the Phantom that captures the eye, but rather the "Ghost Extended Wheelbase," adorned in pink, inside and out.
This unique pink "Ghost EWB," the only one of its kind in the world, was custom-built at the initiative of BBC DJ Chris Evans to support "Breast Cancer Care," an organization dedicated to raising awareness, supporting patients, and funding treatment for breast cancer, with the goal of raising one million pounds.
The car began its operations in April 2013, and anyone can rent it for £2,500 per day (approximately ¥400,000) or more, with a chauffeur. The rental fees are then donated to the charity.
This special vehicle is named "FAB 1 Million." The name is a play on "FAB 1," the pink Rolls-Royce driven by Lady Penelope in the classic puppet show "Thunderbirds," and the fundraising target of one million pounds.
The rental status of "FAB 1 Million" can be checked and booked online at http://www.fab1million.co.uk/.
