Announced by Audi AG, the "Audi fleet shuttle quattro" is a car from the world of virtual reality, and does not physically exist. It is Audi's first fictional car. True to its motto, "Vorsprung durch Technik," it was designed for the science fiction film "Ender's Game," set in a future Earth.
"The Audi in the film represents advancement and appears in key scenes that strongly influence the protagonist's life. Audi is used as part of this fictional world," according to Audi.
"The design process for the "Audi fleet shuttle quattro" was like creating a tailor-made suit. We were careful to ensure it fit the world of "Ender's Game" while upholding the values of the Audi brand. As a result, we believe we have perfectly projected Audi's design philosophy into this film's world."
Meanwhile, "Ender's Game" producer Linda McDonough commented, "Audi is an advanced brand, and they expressed their Audi-ness in a way that fit the film."
"Ender's Game" is about a chosen boy, Ender Wiggin, who, to counter an alien invasion force attacking Earth, displays his genius as a strategist and becomes the hope to end this war.
This film, based on the novel of the same name by Orson Scott Card, is an American production by Summit Entertainment and premiered in the United States on November 1, 2013.
