Special Zagato Models Commemorate Aston Martin's 100th Anniversary
This year, as Aston Martin celebrates its centenary, Zagato has produced and unveiled two special models: the DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial and the DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial.

A Fusion of Zagato's Artistry with Aston Martin's Power and Elegance
The DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial was commissioned by American car collector Peter Reed, andDB9serves as its base.
With Aston Martin's approval and cooperation, this one-off special model was crafted by the same team that worked on the "DB7 Zagato" to honor a century of heritage.DB7It is a one-off special model, created by the same team that worked on the "DB7 Zagato".
Peter Reed described it as: "The DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial perfectly fuses Zagato's elegant design with the power and prestige that Aston Martin has expressed for 100 years. This car symbolizes the eternal nature of the Aston Martin and Zagato brands."
Evoking Zagato Designs of the 1950s
The other special Zagato creation, the DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial, was commissioned by a Japanese entrepreneur. Its elegant tail line, including the signature double-bubble roof, is reminiscent of designs Zagato produced in the 1950s.
The interior is said to have been designed by Ennio Capasa, founder and creative director of the Italian fashion brand Costume National.
Norihiko Harada, Zagato's chief designer, stated: "The Aston Martin DBS is already one of the most beautiful sports cars in the modern era, so redesigning it was a challenging task. We aimed to imbue its sporty styling with Zagato's characteristic world of Latin-inspired luxury GT."
