Peugeot 308 "Sportium" Special Edition Arrives


Peugeot-Citroën Japan has introduced and begun selling the "308 Sportium," a special edition model with added equipment for Peugeot's mid-size "308" series.

The 308 Gains a Sporty Exterior


The Peugeot "308 Sportium" is a special edition model based on the entry-grade "308 Premium," featuring added equipment and a sporty interior and exterior. It is available for both the 5-seater, 5-door hatchback "308" and the 4-door, 7-seater station wagon "308SW."308The exterior newly incorporates dark gray 17-inch aluminum wheels and bi-xenon headlights.

The interior features sports-type half-leather seats, a leather steering wheel with red stitching, and door armrests. Additionally, aluminum pedals and scuff plates have been installed, contributing to a sporty finish.

The engine is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gasoline direct-injection turbo, with specifications of 115kW (156ps) at 6,000rpm and 240Nm at 1,400-3,500rpm. This is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is 11.4 km/ℓ for the "308" and 11.5 km/ℓ for the "308SW" in JC08 mode.

The available body colors are Bianca White, Perla Nera Black, and Egyptian Blue. The price for the 5-door hatchback model is 2.69 million yen, and for the 4-door station wagon model, it is 2.99 million yen. While both feature equipment worth 370,000 yen, the price remains unchanged for the "308 SW Sportium" compared to the base "Premium," and the "308 Sportium" is reduced by 100,000 yen.
