0-100km/h Acceleration in Just 5.0 Seconds

The plug-in hybrid model, "Cayenne E-Hybrid," is added to the new Porsche "Cayenne."

The Cayenne E-Hybrid's powertrain combines a 3.0-liter V6 engine, which produces 250 kW/360 PS—5 kW/7 PS more than the previous generation—with a motor that generates 100 kW/136 PS, a 43 percent increase.

The system's total maximum output is 340 kW/462 PS, an increase of 34 kW/46 PS over the previous generation. Furthermore, its characteristic torque delivery, with a maximum of 700 Nm available from just above idling speed, enables it to achieve excellent performance, including 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 253 km/h.

The electric-only range is up to 44 km, with acceleration possible up to 135 km/h. Depending on the tires used, the published figures are an average fuel consumption (NEDC) of 3.4-3.2 liters/100 km (approximately 29.4-31.3 km/ℓ) and an average power consumption of 20.9-20.6 kWh/100 km.

The Japanese specification, which features right-hand drive and an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, comes standard with Lane Change Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Park Assist, and Surround View Camera. The new Head-Up Display, massage seats, auxiliary heater with remote control, and 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels are optional.

While reservations are being accepted at this time, the release date remains undecided.
