The "500 TwinAir," announced in 2011, garnered significant attention for its ability to achieve both environmental performance and engine power at a high level by combining a small 0.9-liter, two-cylinder engine with a turbocharger. Its unique driving feel, characterized by crisp, torquey acceleration and the distinctive "pata-pata" sound of its two-cylinder engine, has delighted many car enthusiasts.

Now, the combination with a manual transmission, long requested by fans seeking a sportier drive, has finally been realized. For reference, the limited-edition "500 SPORT PLUS" with a manual transmission, released last July in a run of 250 units, sold out in just one month.

While maintaining the same specifications as the standard "TwinAir"—a maximum output of 63kW (85ps) at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 145Nm (14.8kgm) at 1,900 rpm—the exterior has been completely redesigned. It features exclusive front and rear bumpers, a rear roof spoiler, and original 15-inch alloy wheels. The interior also boasts black sports seats and a sports steering wheel, contributing to its sporty ambiance.

The body is available in four colors: White, Red, Metallic Gray, and Blue. The price is 2.25 million yen.
